My name is Carl Shusko and this website was created for my Gilder Lehrman Institute Understanding Lincoln course. The site was created to provide high school students a closer look at President Abraham Lincoln as commander in chief during the Civil War. The site also focuses on the relationship between Lincoln and his Union generals. The website has links on the left side of the page to navigate between the pages (Introduction, Multimedia, Close Readings, Scholarship and For Teachers). You can also click on the buttons at the bottom of the page to link to each individual page.
